Old Horizons Mark 2 - Watercolor Plein-Air
In of 2018 I was pleasantly surprised to be chosen for a two week art residency in October at a Chateau in the French Countryside. I made an effort to do a bit of sightseeing in some of the countries I wasn’t able to visit on my last Europe trip in 2016 before landing at the art residency. So I started in Malta, going up to Rome and Florence before venturing to Marseille before my residency dates. All in all it was a fantastic trip, and my time at Chateau Orquevaux was relaxing and revitalizing. The works below are in chronological order from my travels.

Old Horizons: The Heart of Europe in watercolor
In the Spring of 2016 I did something I had always wanted to do: I planned a solo art excursion to Europe. For one month I ventured around Paris, Strasbourg, Munich, Prague, and Vienna trying my hand at plein-air watercolor painting. It was an incredible trip that will stick with me for the years to come, and has fueled my desire to see and paint more of the world. As for now, please enjoy some of the work that came out of this trip!
